Arsenal F.C Club Statement

Dear Arsenal Fan's

I was appointed Arsenal manager on the 28th June 2017 and have had the pleasure of leading this great club for 3 season's. After careful consideration and following discussions with the club, I feel it is the right time for me after 154 games to step down and enjoy a new challenge away from Arsenal F.C.

I am grateful for having had the privilege to serve the club, a club that leaves me with so many memorable moments. I am truly lucky to have managed such a amazing club in what i truly feel is the best league in the world.

I am proud to be the current longest serving manager (Games Played) in TFF during which time Tottenham have had 4 different managers. I will always continue to look out for and be a supporter of this fantastic club.

To the fans, I wish my time here had been more successful.

x2 Domestic semi-final appearances and 1 Final appearance all resulting in short comings. Two 3rd placed finishes with the agony of throwing away the title in Season 2, and for that i apologise.

I am pleased to be walking away having lifted the European Cup during my time with Arsenal in that great win over Chelsea.

However I truly feel that if Arsenal are to challenge for the title next season it will require a fresh outlook and approach, which i sadly no longer feel i can provide.

I feel i have left Arsenal as the most attractive club in TFF, While the resources were more available then else where Arsenal have only improved and gone from strength to strength since my arrival. When i arrived this club had one or two true superstars, now i feel the club has at least 11 superstars who would grace any team.

I want to thank the staff, the players, the directors and the fans who make this club so special, and who will continue to do so without me.

I urge our fans to stand behind the team and the new manager to finish on a high.
